Larry was born April 16, 1930, to Hiram and Ruth
(Driver) Nelson in
He married Cecilia Turany July 14, 1951, at St.
Charles Catholic Church in
He owned and operated Nelson Oil in Chetek for 49 years. He was a charter
member of the Lions Club in Chetek. He was also a member of the American
Legion, Milwaukee Bulldog Club, Bulldog Club of America, Indianhead Jim Beam
Club, International Association of Jim Beam Bottle and Specialty Club and
Chetek Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed raising, showing and judging bulldogs.
He also enjoyed being in business in Chetek, traveling throughout the
Larry is survived by his wife, Cecilia, of Chetek; a son, David Nelson, of
Chetek; a daughter, Susan Wynimko, of Chippewa Falls;
a sister, Kathy (Rodney) Madison, of Chetek; a brother-in-law,
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Judith; and his sister,
Barbara Nelson.
